2018.... a summary, and a thank you!
It has been an incredible year for myself as a drummer and educator this year.
The year started off with an amazing and inspiring trip to California and the NAMM show, which provided some invaluable ideas to help me on my journey as a musician and educator. My teaching roster has increased to some 55 students per week, between MLC Academy, Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies & East Leake Academy and it continues to get busier! I also had an incredible two weeks working with, and drumming for the Music Production tutors and students at Confetti.
On the playing front, I was lucky enough to have recorded on a couple of great albums, one by I Am Jupiter, and the other by JR Harbidge, who's album peaked at number 9 in the iTunes chart, which was a fantastic achievement and proud to have been part of. Both the albums were supported by fantastic and well-attended launch shows which were a lot of fun. I also played some great shows and festivals this year, including The Eyes Have It festival, Staffsfest, Hallatonfest, Gothamfest and the 02 Academy in Leicester.
2019 looks set to be even busier, with another trip to NAMM in January. Some great shows, starting 18th Jan, and some new releases pencilled in, alongside even more bigger and exciting projects that are lined up.... watch this space!
THANK YOU, to each and every one of you, whether it be students, colleagues, former colleagues, peers, educators, friends and family, your support and belief in me has proven invaluable.
I'm signing off until the new year!
Have a great break.
See you in 2019.
